Useful Web Tool For Language Teaching: Flipgrid

FLIPGRID

 Hi everyone! Today I'll write about one of my favourite web tools. It's called Flipgrid. 

Flipgrid is a video discussion tool for your classroom that supercharges your students' voices. It allows you to share assignments with your students and then it allows your students respond or submit their assignment using video.  There are two sections while opening an account. As an educator or student. If you are a student, you can log in with the code that your teacher gave to you.

  

You can name your classes and choose a join code for each one. Flipgrid already provides you with a code that is readily available, but you can choose the code yourself if you want.

After picking up your code and writing you class' name, you can choose how your students join your class. If you are a teacher using google classroom, one great feature about flipgrid is that it is integrated with google classroom. So, it makes easier for you to share your assignments. Or else, you can choose student e-mail or student username. When you choose student e-mail, you have to write which e-mail accounts can join this class. For example, you have to write "@gmail".

 You can also put pictures to your classes. You can either chose an image that Flipgrid offers or, upload your own image to Flipgrid. If you want, you can put more features to your class. Such as how do the students can respond? with their videos, selfies or just with their voices, how long they can record? Until when they can upload their responds? Or, how will you give feedback? basic or custom feedback, and etc. 

Now you can create a subject for your students

You need to write a title and a question for the topic. So that your students can discuss or respond to the question.

You can also add media such as emoji, video, game and etc.
