EDMODO
Edmodo is a social learning web tool for teachers, students and parents. Its aim is to provide a platform where teachers, students and parents can share content, submit assignments and interact with each other online. With Edmodo, teachers can invite students by creating online classes and by giving them a group code. While teachers can easily examine the students, parents can also follow their children by this tool.
As I said before teachers, students and parents can use this tool. Thus, there are three entrances in Edmodo. I'll be talking about teachers' entrance.
This is your main page where you can share content or see the common contents. On the left part, you can see the 'Create a Class' sign. All you need to do is clicking on it and start to selecting features to your class. Such as the grade of the class and the lesson that the class are taking. You can add agenda to your class. For example, on which day what they have to do.
You can create Assignments, Quizzes and Activities. I clicked on the third one to create an activity. You can either create your own activity or use the previously prepared activities
While preparing, you can customise your activity as you wish. You can determine the question types such as, multiple choice or filling the blanks. After writing your question, you can add answer choices if you want. You can also change the background of the activity you are making. There are some backgrounds that Edmodo has. You can choose one of them to make your activity entertaining. After finishing your questions, you have to click on finish. Or else, all of your question may gone. While saving your activity, there are some features that you can add to your activity. For example, you can share your activity privately. By this way, only the students that you share o code with, will enable the activity. If you want, you can also assign this activity to your students. Its up to you :)
